  • Essay / Theme of things falling apart - 1498

In the same way, Okonkwo died because he couldn't take it anymore, he died knowing what he was appreciated or known for, he knew that he wanted to be different from society that expected him to, but it was difficult for him to approach people and let them know "How" OR "Why" he did what he did do. To conclude this essay, as has been mentioned, I have chosen the following topics: Fear, Masculinity and Cultural Values, because reading “Things Fall Apart” By: Chinua Achebe has given me much more reason and understanding clear about what Okonkwo wanted and what he saw. see himself, all he ever wanted was to not become like his father, he didn't want to be like his father, he just wanted a chance to show people how he saw himself and how he could have improve further. Okonkwo brought obstacles and barriers that people face today in America. Society wants us to follow these trends because people who really weren't supposed to be any different from society expected us to do so.
