Report: Evaluation of eqBQ1 INTRODUCTION1.1 QUANTITY SAMPLE IN CONSTRUCTION Quantity survey is an essential task in the construction process because it forms the basis for the other construction tasks that follow. The construction elements are measured and these quantities are then used to estimate the cost and the corresponding workload involved. This information is then brought together in a Quantitative Quotation (BQ). The BQ structures and organizes information on measurements, productivities and costs, based on the construction task and takes into account the actual order of the construction process. For example, the foundation elements are under the same section in the BQ while the roof elements are under the same section in the BQ. The quantity measurement is applied throughout the construction phase.
