In the books Left Neglected by Lisa Genova and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon, the two main characters not only prove people wrong, but they also achieve happiness and achieve a goal that, in their opinion, was not possible. Two such different people in the same situation enlightened us about their different situations and how to overcome the harsh reality of the difficulty of becoming independent, having to prove yourself every day and the daily inequality that people impose on them. A sick person's only limits are those imposed on him by others. The daily inequality that people inflict on people with disabilities is one of the main reasons we cannot grow as a society. In both books you can see that he is described in many meaningful ways. The main character of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is a young boy born with autism and considered problematic from the start. His name is Chris and he shows enthusiasm and strives to achieve something. Chris had this to say when talking about his passions: “Prime numbers are what's left when you've removed all the patterns. I think prime numbers are like life. They are very logical but you will never be able to work out the rules, even if you spend all your time thinking about them” (Haddon 19).
