What is the right attitude towards the Earth, when so many societies abuse its resources and neglect the matrix of life? Basic understanding of self, of how the self interacts with the numbered moments of life, is essential to the right attitude of earth consciousness. Listening to and obeying our conscience is essential to fostering peace and harmony in the world. The connection is mandatory to achieve the right attitude towards the earth. By living an unconscious life, one cannot truly understand the wisdom of the earth. Without attentive ears one cannot hear consciousness and the mind will not mature. By neglecting the conscious and the conscience, one cannot mature through the connection. I am what I am and my connections with my environment are pure. Without this connection, I would not be able to continue my path of enlightenment with the right attitude towards the earth and the creator. Society's abuse, neglect, and complacency toward Earth's natural gifts and resources harm the very existence of humanity. Toxic waste dumping, animal cruelty, and genetically modified plants and foods are just a few examples of abuse and neglect. America's profiteering capitalist despises its land and we must strive to achieve harmony with nature before it destroys us. To begin with, the attitude of contempt towards the earth is directly attributed to society's innate capacity for complacency. Contempt is a feeling or attitude of viewing someone or something as inferior or worthless. Humans are not born with contempt; humans learn it through social conditioning and the complacency that comes with this training. It is important to understand that our society's disregard is killing the earth and setting the stage for a deadly disastrous environment for...... middle of paper ...... and the concept of perpetual motion machines is intriguing. I have developed a prototype perpetual motion machine, although promising, it has not yet fully worked. I know these are quite large undertakings, but when undertaken in small, deliberate steps, anything is possible. Additionally, to consolidate my responsibilities for a good attitude towards the earth, I took up the study of herbs and vitamins. I use a daily regimen of vitamins and herbs. I don't believe in prescription drugs. A drug must be at least 20% toxic to be classified as a prescription drug. Some medications have a higher rate than this. This is a clear disdainful attitude towards the body, and I cannot allow this to happen to my temple. To defile my body is to defile the earth; with this understanding I begin my path towards the right attitude towards the earth.
