  • Essay / What do forensic doctors do? - 1113

There are six general areas of forensic science. There is a forensic pathologist, a crime lab analyst, a crime scene examiner, and a forensic engineer. It can be difficult to figure out which one you want, but it's easier to talk to someone who does the job. They can tell you different things about the job. Forensic Pathologist: This is the highest salary, but you must be able to open bodies. You must also complete more than 7 years of college. They also have uncertain working hours. I will never know when they are working and I will be called at any time. You must acquire a medical degree. Crime Lab Analyst: You're paid quite well and you work mostly outside. You also do a lot of DNA work, blood tests, for example. The best degree overall is Chemistry. You must have a few. qualifications for this job. It's a lot of work.Forensic Engineer: You handle traffic accidents, fire investigations, and wrongful injury cases. you need an engineering degree. It's a lot of work, you never know your schedule, it changes every day. Crime Scene Examiner: You will work whenever a crime occurs. Your schedule is going to be crazy. You will always be called to work, a crime happens almost every day. 5 seconds around the world. That's a lot of crime. You also work day and night, and if you are called to work on a holiday you have to go no matter what, you can't say no or you could lose your job. You also have to deal with corpses and gross deaths, and the pay isn't exactly great. I chose this topic because since I was little, I watched NCIS with my mother and it became my favorite series. I just like what they do, I know most of their shows are about military, marines or coast guard, but it's always very interesting. It's something I see myself doing. I haven't met anyone who... middle of paper... a medical examiner works really weird hours. Some work until the case is closed. This could be very long. You get good pay for it. And you learn something new every day. That would definitely be something I would do. There are a few colleges and universities that are very interesting to go to when you want to get into forensic science. Theres, the University at Albany, the University of Maryland, the University of Cincinnati, Scottsdale Community College, Prince George Community College, and New River Community College. My college choice is not there. I want to go to UofM. They have good systems though.
