Being protected is a major concern for all Americans. Can you imagine living in a dangerous world? When 911 happened, the world was shocked. I was only a child, but I will never forget this tragic incident. On September 11, 2001, two planes landed on the Twin Towers located in New York and a third plane landed on the Pentagon. President Bush then declared war, because of weapons of mass destruction. Sander wasn't thinking about war or terrorism. Sander was concerned about the amount of money that was going to be spent on the war, as well as the number of American soldiers that were going to be killed in the war. Sander suggested that Bush's ideas regarding the war were not well thought out. Sander said, “I'm 23 years old and just a year ago I didn't have health insurance. It was a very uncomfortable stage in my life. When I got sick, I had to question myself before going to the doctor. Unlike other countries, the United States does not offer health care, according to Heath Care USA, America has one of the best health care systems, but it is expensive. 44 million Americans are uninsured and an additional 38 million have inadequate health insurance. With the emergence of Obamacare, nearly 9 million people benefited from health insurance (Anna, Maria, 2015). Despite this, many Americans still lack health insurance. The U.S. Affordable Care Act has many loopholes in the system and millions of U.S. citizens are still left without health insurance (Anna Maria, 2015). Health care is a major concern for everyone who lives on this earth. If you are ill, you should have access to a healthcare professional. Bernie Sander speaks to everyone receiving health benefits. Sanders believes that health care is a human right and should be guaranteed to Americans. Today, 29 million people lack health insurance in the United States. We pay, by far, the highest prices in the world for prescription drugs. One in five Americans can't even afford the prescriptions their doctors write. Sander's says, "I think people will support my Medicare-for-All plan because the United States is the only major country in the world today that does not guarantee health care to all as a right." I think the Affordable Care Act has done a lot of good things. And yet we have 29 million people without any health insurance” (Bernie Sanders, 2015).
