  • Essay / Continuous Change - 772

Change has been with us since the dawn of time. Everything is constantly changing around us, whether it's technological advancements, influences between cultures, or the divide between humans and other primates. Although evolution has also been occurring since the dawn of time, the idea of evolution and how to explain it only appeared to humans fairly recently. Because information was not always recorded in the early days of civilization, generations were unaware of the changes that occurred between the past and their current times. Charles Darwin changed this, however, when he studied and published his book “The Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favored Races,” about his explanation of evolution by natural selection. After Darwin, many researchers followed in his footsteps to explain other theories. As technology advanced, there were more explanations for the concept of evolution, followed by evidence and data, thanks to the technology we had. Without Darwin and technology, evolution would not be as it is today. Charles Darwin proposed the theory of natural selection which attracted public attention due to his ideas opposing those of other scientists of his generation. Natural selection explains how species could have evolved over thousands and millions of years. It showed how the characteristics and physical appearance of species could change due to other causes such as the environment, food supply, predators and/or disease. Darwin explains a scenario in which rabbits are divided into two groups and tested on which ones would survive under certain circumstances. He writes: "...individuals having the lightest forms, the longest limbs and the best eyesight, let the difficulty...... middle of paper ... together with other organisms determine the characteristics of civilizations who preceded us. DNA testing, as explained previously, gave us exactly what we needed; a connection to generations that may or may not exist today. The bone discoveries were an important turning point in the development of DNA testing, because with the discovery of bones came DNA testing, which only came into existence less than 30 years ago. Through DNA testing, we could gain much more information about the beings that came before us and how we may have evolved from them. Besides characteristics, the most important thing that DNA testing gave us was the ability to determine the age or age of the being. The way we collect DNA continually provides us with new information. The evolution of the human race is constantly evolving and the future will inevitably bring us new information about its development..
