  • Essay / Martin Luther King, Jr. - 1455

I had a dream were the famous words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. During the era of segregation in the 1950s, this powerful speech led not only Black people to a world of equality, but America must respect the constitution it created. Dr. King was an inspiring man with a brilliant mind. He led a battle against one of the most difficult problems America faced, segregation; when we are treated unequally based on the color of our skin, rejected or excluded. He led America out of segregation and into an equal and diverse nation. There are so many different types of cultures and ethnicities on this earth and without King the world could be a completely different humanity today. Racism still exists today, it's not something that can be completely stopped, but it has changed over the years of the Constitution. Black people are not the only ones to be neglected in the world: from the Israelis to the Palestinians and from the Chinese to the Japanese, racism is everywhere. Dr. King repeatedly pointed out how immoral Southern politicians and racial activists were. The main objective was to fight against prejudice and segregation. But not only had he followed the ways of Gandhi, but he had also fought for equality non-violently. King changed the world to think differently about others. He made people understand that everyone was different and he resolved the freedom of the African American people of our country. King was a very worried man when he discovered that Rosa Parks had been arrested because she would not give up her seat for a white man on the bus in Montgomery, Alabama. He decided to gather some of his friends and protest against bus segregation. He thought it wasn't fair to be treated differently... middle of paper ... on this planet for doing something that would somehow change someone's life. Some found it and some didn't. In life, you have to expect the unexpected and just live your life. No one can see what will happen in the future. Martin Luther King Jr. didn't do it, he dreamed of what he wanted the future to become and it happened. There is little segregation, black people are free, and no matter what, this world will never be safe, but if you just believe in something, then anything can happen. I believe that everything happens for a reason and that whatever is meant to happen will always find its way. This is also what King believed. He had a dream and it came true. He was determined to change one of the most important problems ever solved in America and he did it. He was a person to preach his feelings, imagine if you brought ten people together to change the world. What would happen?
