This trend has wrongly portrayed white people as the propagators of racism while black people as the victims of racism in all circumstances (Neville, Awad, Brooks, Flores and Bluemel, 2013). For this reason, this research proposal proposes to carry out a study on the aspect of race and the mental and health effects of racism and racial stereotypes on white people living in South Africa. The hypotheses of the proposed study will be: Research hypothesis: Racism and racial stereotypes against the South African white race cause them to suffer from heart disease and many mental illnesses. Null Hypothesis: Racism and racial stereotypes against white South Africans do not cause them heart disease or many mental illnesses. The proposed
