I choose to study the professional field of elementary education. (Teaching) I have been interested in teaching for a long time because I have always been around teachers and they talk about the joy of helping children learn and grow in their education. This particular career field interests me because I enjoy learning new things. I believe everyone needs a good education to be successful, and I would like to help children achieve the education they need. Most importantly, I want to find new and creative ways to make learning fun. The teaching profession has changed a lot since its beginnings. In the early days of teaching, prophets and priests were teachers (usually only) of rich children. Known as one of the wisest men in the world, Confucius was also one of the first teachers of the 6th century. Confucius is remembered by his countless quotes of his teachings on kindness, wisdom, trustworthiness and respect. “The will to win, the desire to succeed, the desire to reach your full potential. . . these are the keys that will open the door to personal excellence. » - ConfuciusConfucius's teaching field was predominantly male and had little to do with women until the 18th century. In the early 18th century, teacher training became popular, but primarily for men. Men could study in universities while women, very few in number, could study in teaching academies. It wasn't until the early 20th century that teachers were required to obtain a certificate before teaching. Previously, teachers were chosen by local authorities based on their moral beliefs and their ability to write and read. During my research, I discovered that a teacher must do most of the writing or preparation work outside of class hours. And I know this is all true because my mother is an elementary school teacher and every night she comes home with stacks and stacks of paper to read and grade and correct. (Not to mention preparing lesson plans and worksheets.) I'd rather have a job where I can leave all my work at my desk and be able to come home and do whatever I want with my time. At the moment, I am thinking about looking into the career of a physiotherapist, because a physiotherapist is a profession that has the qualities of a profession that I want. For example: I don't need to interact with a lot of people, I can leave my work at my desk at the end of the day, and I could choose the specific times of the day that I work..
