  • Essay / Leadership roles in the post-bureaucratic era - 1142

A change for the better? Today, leadership can be seen as focusing more on the relationships that are created within an organization. Unlike the bureaucratic era, leaders now seek to maximize the capabilities and knowledge of their employees, not just the potential of their company. This idea, seen in "Theory and Management", seems to be used by many companies around the world, as leaders and managers realize that it can help the company as a whole. If managers want to ensure the success of their organization, they must understand that it all starts with their people. Increasing employee intrinsic motivation levels will instantly result in increased quality and production levels. If managers provide high levels of training to their staff, this will significantly increase the level of employee motivation and the effort they put into the business. The less training or skills their staff has, the less capable they will be of producing the level of product or service offered by the company.
