Essay / Zoroastrianism in correlation with Abrahamic religions
Zoroastrianism is one of the oldest monotheistic religions in the world. It was founded in Iran by the prophet Zoroaster 3,500 years ago. At one time in history, it was an extremely powerful religion; it even held the title of official religion of Persia from 600 to 650 BCE. However, in recent times its size has decreased significantly and it is now considered one of the smallest religions in the world. Zoroastrianism has an extremely extensive history. It is clear that other major monotheistic religions, particularly the Abrahamic religions, have borrowed from the very foundations of Zoroastrianism. Because it is centralized under one church, religion as a whole has begun to feel more oppressed and more like a tool used to make money. Over time, they simply began to demand more and more from average Persian citizens. This is a very similar event in the history of the Abrahamic churches, particularly the Catholic Church. It should be noted that the Catholic Church has always had a certain notoriety in certain areas of history. Throughout the 15th century, the Catholic Church was undoubtedly the largest Christian church. However, controversies began when the church began selling indulgences; for paying the church a certain amount, they were basically forgiven of any sin they had committed.
