I learned how this earth was created and the forces behind every evolution and development of this amazing land. Even the ideas of plate tectonics helped me understand that the Earth is a dynamic object always subject to change. Interestingly enough, I thought that if I learned these principles it would diminish my faith, but I constantly apply the concept that science and faith are both forms of truth. I could see a slight correlation between the creation of the universe and the creation account in the Bible. God separated the light from the darkness, in the beginning the sun was created, and this light which came divided the darkness. The separation of earth and water is mentioned in the Bible as well as in the theory of the creation of the universe. I can see them both working together because the Bible is very vague in its details about creation, perhaps the theory is a possible understanding of how God made everything, at least that's what I believe. Another interesting concept is the age of the earth. Thanks to radiometric dating, humanity was able to have a more approximate age for the Earth. This conclusion was about 4.6 billion years ago. The most interesting part is the ability of scientists to use the world around them and the elements they find to date the Earth and other time periods. From meteorites to the half-life of uranium, men could make predictions
