  • Essay / Argumentative Essay on Ice Cream - 796

There are, on the contrary, many health benefits of eating ice cream. A study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that women who consumed at least one daily serving of full-fat dairy products, such as ice cream, gained less weight than those who did not. A Harvard study published in the journal Human Reproduction suggests that eating whole milk or ice cream may improve your chances of having a baby. There's no denying that ice cream isn't exactly a health food. Its main ingredients are cream, milk, sugar and flavorings. That being said, ice cream provides your body with a handful of essential nutrients, including bone-strengthening calcium and phosphorus, blood pressure-lowering potassium, and energizing B vitamins. It also provides a decent amount of protein, which is essential for tissue repair and cell growth. Just because something is high in calories and fat doesn't mean it's completely unhealthy, there are always beneficial outcomes.
