    Part A: The ContextThere are three different populations for what allows an individual to be considered a victim of human trafficking: under US law , these are minors, individuals under the age of 18. age, who are forced into the sex trade, individuals 18 years or older who enter the sex trade through fraud, coercion or force, and the third population is a mixture of children and adults who are forced to provide labor or services while in an involuntary position of servitude, debt, bondage or bondage through force, deception or intimidation. Perpetrators of this crime typically target people who have no hope or very few opportunities left, but their victims are of all ages, socioeconomic statuses, genders, nationalities, and education levels (The National Child Traumatic Stress Network, 2014). ) 1585 is an amended bill based on bill AB 795 which died in the Appropriations Committee in February 2014.
