Essay / space-time - 801
Throughout our history, space-time has generally been explained by the meaning of its name. As in, spacetime refers to the relationship between space and time. This generality is not useful in the process of learning and understanding space-time. Therefore, one must go further than its original definition to know what space-time actually is. Accordingly, in further study, the space-time continuum is linked to a special theory of relativity. Nevertheless, the space-time continuum is where space and time are combined into one mathematical/physical thing, because the equations of relativity show that space and time must be mixed in order to accurately describe this that we see. In 1906, Albert Einstein created the theory of special relativity. The theory explains how it understands movement between different inertial frames of reference, that is, places that move at constant speeds relative to each other. He explained that when two objects are moving at a constant speed, it is the relative motion between the two objects, instead of relying on each other as an absolute frame of reference that defines what is happening. Einstein's theory is based on two things: the principle of relativity and the principle of the speed of light. The principle of relativity is where the laws of physics do not change, even for objects moving by inertia (constant speed). The principle of the speed of light is the same for everyone, regardless of its movement relative to the light source. This involves the idea of what happens to time as we approach the speed of light. The answer is that time is slowing down, which is called time dilation. Additionally, mass increases as it moves faster as it approaches the speed of light. Nevertheless, following Einstein's idea ...... middle of paper ......, time and form are converted into each other in a way that keeps the speed of light, what Einstein declared as the theory of special relativity. As a result, the thirteenth edition of the Encyclopedia Britannica of 1926 included an article by Einstein entitled "space-time". The theory of special relativity was created by Albert Einstein in 1906 and used the theory to discover and relate it to space. -temporal continuum. The space-time continuum is that space and time are combined because the theory of relativity shows that space and time must be mixed in order to truly define what we see. In gravitational time dilation, time passes faster with less gravity. This affects the theory because the larger the object, the slower time passes. In conclusion, it is thanks to Einstein's theory of Special Relativity that the space-time continuum was discovered..
