Essay / Overfishing - 795
Overfishing occurs when fish are caught faster than they can reproduce and replace themselves, so the fish population declines more quickly, this becomes a major problem. Because of this, fish are disappearing more quickly and our fish resources are diminishing. Many countries and nations are also involved. If this continues there may be no more fish for our next generation, although the short term consequences are not many, think of the long term consequences caused by overfishing. We developed a plan because the steps taken to stop overfishing are not enough for people to realize the consequences. So, what do you think should be done to stop overfishing before it's too late and all fish species disappear? Fish species are extinct. Overfishing is a big problem due to human population. For the human population, one of their greatest resources is fish. The reason this affects fish is because people are fishing faster than the fish can reproduce, leading to a decrease in the fish population. Since the human population continues to grow by the minute, the fish population continues to decrease by the second. Fish take 26-30 days to reproduce, so if we catch fish every day, the fish will not be able to reproduce, causing the fish population to decrease instead of increasing. Almost all regions are involved in overfishing, mainly the most populated regions like the southwest or northeast. I also think that the countries most involved are China and the United States. Since most of the population depends on fish for protein, the whole world depends on fish if you think about it. If 30% of the Earth is land, 70% is ocean, so fish are everywhere, making this a global problem. Not much will happen in the years to come...... middle of paper ...... this late and all the fish species are gone. Many countries and nations are also involved. in the global problem of overfishing, but they don't want to admit it. We developed a plan because what is being done to end overfishing is not enough for people to realize the consequences. I don't blame the fact that few people know what overfishing is or how they are involved, which makes overfishing much more difficult. stop.
