The Agricultural System of Ancient Egypt in Relation to MesopotamiaThe ancient Egyptians had an easier life than other ancient civilizations due to their reliable agricultural system. Geography played a big role, especially in agriculture. Due to geography, Mesopotamia and Egypt had different agricultural methods, weather conditions, environment, and flood seasons. In fact, Egypt's large agricultural system allowed them to have better farming conditions than Mesopotamia due to the flooding, rivers, irrigation, and agricultural tools they used. The economy, crops, floods, and weather varied between Mesopotamia and Egypt. Geography, flood seasons, different agricultural tools and methods led Egypt to have a better agricultural system than Egypt. The difference between geographies, which includes the environment, was the main factor that made agriculture different among the Mesopotamians and Egyptians. Floods influenced agriculture in Mesopotamia and Egypt. However, the floods helped Egypt, but they had a negative impact on Mesopotamia (Grigg, p. 22).
