Essay / The Romantic Era of Romanticism in The Tyger by William...
It referred to the eternal separation of feelings and thoughts, the struggle between two realities within the same person. This is linked to the Romantic era because Byron expresses feelings for this lady and he shows them to the audience through his detailed words about her beauty. Besides The Scarlet Letter, another moving novel was published at this time, Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. The theme of this story is "restrictions do not determine character, love conquers all", this is after all what we call "romance novel". The two words in the title have different meanings, but come together at the end. Pride is having a high opinion of one's own worth or importance, while prejudice is making judgments about others that are not based on facts or experience. At first this novel was first titled "First Impressions", then the narrator describes how the main character's prejudices and first impressions change over time.
