  • Essay / The Tramp - 262

One thing I like most that he does, or should I say he doesn't do, is work. I know you should work, but if you don't have to, it must be great. One thing that comes with this is that you hardly have to worry about money. That's because you don't have much to buy either. He cooks for free and lives like Drousen. I think if he can do something like that and there's no problem, that's no big deal too. Another thing that goes with it is that he doesn't need materialistic things. I think too many people worry about that these days. He also has a lot of freedom and free time. But the thing I'm most jealous of is that he was completely happy with his life. It's very difficult to do. Maybe I could live like that. Not forever, but certainly long enough for me to learn something about my own personality. It would also be fantastic to not have to work. Even if you do something like that, you learn a lot. If you returned to a “normal” life, you would be much more satisfied. But there were a lot of things I didn't like. First, I only had a place to sleep. I didn't have my own bathroom either. This meant I couldn't bathe every day. I also don't know if I could tolerate others hating me and thinking I'm nothing at all. Another important thing is that I didn't want to beg. I couldn't sit on the street and constantly ask strangers for money. I also sometimes enjoy a really good meal.
