Henry Ford: An American Icon It takes a very courageous person to take on a leadership role and make the world a better place. Ford treated each of its workers with respect. In return, workers gave Ford everything they had and 100 percent on everything they did. Henry Ford didn't just look good, he helped the country and even the world by pursuing his dreams. From a young age, he had plans to do something big, and that's what he did. Henry Ford was a man with a dream. Henry and Clara took the biggest step in their relationship and had a child, they then had Edsel Ford. Henry and Edsel had a wonderful life together but unfortunately, after a very successful life and career, both passed away in 1947.
