Millions of people created an account to allow them to share whatever they wanted with the rest of the world. Sending a video file via email could often be very large, causing many problems, but when Youtube came along they made it easier to share videos without having to send large files. YouTube has revolutionized video sharing on the Internet, making it easy to watch, comment on, and rate feature-length films without having to download large, time-consuming files. Youtube was founded in February 2005 by Chad Hurley, Jawed Karim and Steve Chan. Youtube has used Flash Video and HTML5 to make it as easy as possible for users to create and publish videos. As Youtube became more and more popular, the term “viral video” became a well-known term.
