  • Essay / Becoming a Registered Nurse - 732

Growing up, I was always asked the question “What do you want to be when you grow up?” » I never really knew the answer. My answer would always be something related to Art since I am a good designer. Over time my interests have changed, now art seems like just a hobby to me. All I want is to be considered “successful” in life. I feel like having a career in the arts won't help me present myself as one. The answer to what I wanted to be came not too long ago. As I watched both my parents get older, I realized that they will soon need someone who can take care of them. As a registered nurse, that's exactly what I do. I always knew I would spend my time helping others in one way or another. When I help others, it gives me a kind of satisfaction. I don't know how to describe it, it's just one of those "feel good" feelings. Besides being able to take care of my parents, I could also help others. I think there is nothing better in the world than spending time helping others, knowing that you are doing the right thing. Of course, to become a registered nurse, you will need to pursue higher education. I plan to attend Wayne State University. WSU is not only not far from home, but also affordable in my range. According to MichiganCollegeGuide.com, annual tuition for Wayne State is $9,780 full-time and in-service. If things can be done cheaply, that's how I'll do it. If my resources are too low, I will have to take two years of academic training and then transfer to WSU. Additionally, WSU is also part of my academic acceptance. It's mainly because it's close to home that I would like to attend. Also considering that this college was recommended by a middle of paper...always doing what I can't do, so that I learn how to do it.
