Cancer affects young, old, rich, poor, black or white; it does not discriminate. Many families in the United States have been affected by colon cancer. Colon cancer patients, like Gloria Bowsher, are fighting for their lives. Gloria was diagnosed with colon cancer in September 2008 and is currently in remission. Gloria, a 78-year-old woman, has been an inspiration in many lives. He is a magnificent human being. Throughout her battle with cancer, she continually fought it with faith and determination; failure is not an option. Gloria recently underwent tests and confirmed for the second time that she is still cancer-free. Cancer is the uncontrolled growth of cells that disrupt the body's tissues and organs. The cells can grow and then multiply to form tumors that invade local tissues and sometimes spread throughout the body. As cancer progresses, the body experiences pale skin, pain, fatigue, and loss of appetite (cancer and your environment). Although thousands of people battle colon cancer every day, it is treatable and people survive this roller coaster ride. It causes colon cancer to develop in the colon or rectum; Cells generally grow and divide only when they are needed for our bodies to function properly. But sometimes the mechanisms that regulate cell growth stop working and the cells divide uncontrollably and form tumors, which are cancers (colon cancer). Although men are at higher risk of colon cancer, if a person's immediate relative develops colorectal cancer younger than their age. By age 50, the risk of being diagnosed with colon cancer is almost double the risk. The risk increases if other close relatives also have or have had colorectal cancer.
