William Henry Drummond is a renowned, successful and acclaimed lawyer. The reaction to his name could be extremely varied, depending on who one asked in the world of 1925. To the majority of residents of Hillsboro, for example, Drummond was seen as a "vicious and godless man", who will undoubtedly lose the case to the beloved Matthew Harrison Brady.
