The Wannsee ConferenceHave you ever had a business meeting, a conference? Can you imagine a meeting to outline the extermination of a population of 11 million Jews? The Wannsee Conference was a “meeting” to discuss how they were going to kill all the Jews. The Wannsee Conference implemented the final solution; The world had lost the opportunity to save 6 million Jews and others. The beginning Hitler came to power in Germany in 1933, after World War I, when tensions were high because the Treaty of Versailles blamed Germany for the destruction caused by the war and they faced paying for all damage, which plunged Germany into economic collapse. The Nazi Party gained many electoral votes that year in government and began propaganda against the Jews; they accused the Jews of being responsible for the terrible things happening in Germany at that time. Part of the Nazi Party's propaganda consisted of photos of Jews highlighting what made them Jewish and their distinctive features, so you could spot them. These appeared on the covers of newspapers printed all over Germany. (An introductory history of the Holocaust) They began to suppress individual rights and segregate the Jews. They also put the Star of David on all Jewish clothing, so that they could be easily spotted in public. They made the Germans seem more important, courageous and stronger than the Jews so that it would appeal to non-Jews and make them participate. with what was happening and turn them against the Jews. They believed that the Aryan was the superior race, which is basically the opposite of the Jew. (An introductory history of the Holocaust) Aryans had fair skin, blond hair, and blue eyes. Jews have olive skin, dark brown eyes and hair. The hatred got worse middle of paper......in history to make sure it never happens again.
