The cell phone has not only become a necessity for the American people, but it has also been one of the fastest growing pieces of technology since its publicity. The cell phone is arguably the best and worst technology ever invented. A man named Martin Cooper invented the very first cell phone in 1973 in Japan. This cell phone costs around $3,500. However, the shockingly high price made the phone inaccessible to ordinary people. Barely a year or a decade later, the first mobile phone was released to the public. Once again, the bulk and ridiculous price made this invention impossible to own. Then, in 1996, the greatest invention in cell phones was made by Nokia Communications. This particular cellular device could access the Internet and send and receive emails. It used to be that the purpose of a cell phone was simply to reach someone via voice call and text message. These days, cell phones can take photos, guide you around the country, and hold thousands of songs. Has the cell phone forever changed the way people communicate?
