According to statistics from Citizens and Immigration Canada (Immigration to Canada, 2009), each year, Canada welcomes more than 200,000 new immigrants. This creates a diversity of multiple nationalities. Most European immigrants or their descendants have religious origins that respect universal brotherhood. Furthermore, multiculturalism makes Canada a “melting pot” for all members of the “pot”. People respect each other and live together in peace. People of different origins live together in peace, without discrimination.2.3. Advantages of CanadaThe fact that Canada is a democratic country with an attractive social environment is another argument for supporting Why Canada? It provides immigrants with a high standard of living and ample opportunities to prosper in several fields such as the economy and education. Thanks to its exceptional education system and social welfare system with an extremely low crime rate. For example, the security system in public places is excellent compared to that of Mexico. Additionally, as a country with high economic development, its average unemployment rate is low – Canada has the capacity to create new sources of employment every year. In addition, the country also enjoys a stable political climate and an effective legal system. As a result, the percentage of corruption in government is almost zero; the political system therefore functions efficiently. It provides an excellent living environment, fresh air quality, beautiful scenery and a stable society. The quality of life which increases life expectancy, one of the longest in the world, encourages Mexicans to choose Canada, because of the opportunities it represents.3. However, the phenomenon of immigration does not correspond to recent times, on the contrary, it is the result of an entire historical process, directly linked to the conditions of economic and social inequality in Mexico.
