Microsoft Corporation is one of the largest technology companies in the world, with a value of $73.72 billion. It has changed the face of modern technology since its founding in August 1975 by Bill Gates and Paul Allen, and is currently the largest software company in the world. This essay will examine the history and development of Microsoft Corporation that has led to its position as one of the world's leading companies today, how the company has progressed over time, and the impact it has had on today's technology-driven society. Microsoft was founded in Albuquerque, New Mexico in July 1975 by Bill Gates and Paul Allen. Microsoft's main area of activity at the time was the development of software for microcomputers, with a particular objective: to develop languages for these microcomputers. ". Some products: Xbox, Windows Phone, Bing decision engine, Microsoft Office and many others. This allowed Microsoft to generate electricity and become a global company. This is supported by the fact that Microsoft has gone from selling programming languages and operating systems to becoming a highly successful business, battling many competitors to stay relevant in the market and continue to grow. This is underlined by the fact that it is the largest software company in the world. However, globalization has allowed monopolistic competition to arise, as there are now other companies in the market competing with Microsoft. This has affected Microsoft's supply, demand and market share depending on which market it is. For example, they now offer a wider range of products, from search engines to game consoles, to stay in the market, meet people's needs and generate more wealth. Nonetheless, it is undeniable that Microsoft played a key role in making the software what it is today and that it has enjoyed enormous success since its inception in 1975. "No current or future computer user can't really avoid or afford to ignore what Microsoft is doing”.
