These claims and beliefs lack evidence and do not follow the correct scientific method (e.g. double-blindness). Living in the age of the attention economy and information overload, we expect instant, reliable gratification, which has led us to become lazy, easily influenced, and susceptible to multiple errors. It is because of two main errors, confirmation bias and appeal to authority, that we are part of the pseudo-scientific market.
