It applies the survey approach to analyze the use of the Internet and social media among adolescents aged twelve to seventeen years old. It also uses a focus group of adults to understand how adults use the Internet to search for information about health and other life issues. This article reveals that there is an increase in Internet and social media usage over time from the year 2000 to 2008. This finding is related to this article because it illustrates social media trends and the Internet.
