John F. KennedyJohn F. Kennedy was an important man who had an impact on America. His life and death and the choices he made to change the face of America will go down in history. John Fitzgerald Kennedy was the thirty-fifth president of the United States. The American people saw him as a brilliant young visionary, destined to change the nation. John F. Kennedy was born on May 29, 1917, in Brookline, Massachusetts. He was the second son of nine children, born into a very wealthy and political family. His father Joseph P. Kennedy, a multimillionaire financier and his wife Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy. Joseph also served in the Massachusetts Legislature. John was a kid who grew up in politics; their family was known for its wealth and also for its long history of political and public service. John attended different schools such as Canterbury Parish School and Choate School. Many teachers have complimented him on his popularity because of his unique personality. Kennedy enrolled at Princeton University but had to withdraw due to illness. He graduated from Harvard with honors in 1940, then attended Stanford University for graduate school. After college, John Kennedy attempted to enlist in the United States Army, but was turned down due to a back injury. A few months later, he was accepted into the United States Navy. After the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, he became an intelligence officer in Washington DC. Kennedy trained with the Motor Torpedo Boat Squadron and was sent to the South Pacific to fight the ongoing war against Japan. In March 1943, he patrolled the torpedo boat, which was cut in two.
