Essay / An Era of World Change 500-1500 Essay the development of the story. Each civilization during the period 500-1500 had unique and different interactions with the world. The economic, political and/or military, social, intellectual and religious interactions of ancient civilizations have all shaped the world as it is today. Without trial and error interactions, our world would not be as advanced as it is today. All waterways, including oceans and seas, played a major role in how civilizations interacted. Water provided a means of travel and a constant source of food for ancient cultures. If there had not been a solid water source to develop agriculture, early civilizations like the Egyptians, Mesopotamians or the Indus civilizations would not have survived. The world was never the same after some of the many different interactions people had during the period 500-1500. Without trade and the spread of religious beliefs over time, the world would not have been able to tell right from wrong. Civilizations became stronger through trial and error. Some empires have survived and still exist today, while others have disappeared. The fact that some societies are underdeveloped has not helped and it is on them that strong civilizations have targeted.:1.
