    We, the Republic of Uzbekistan, are strongly opposed to religious oppression and believe that every individual should have the right to choose and practice the religion of their choice. That being said, we believe that with the appropriate measures, institutions and laws, religious tolerance and understanding could be achieved. Our great nation, Uzbekistan, is located in the heart of Central Asia, between two great rivers, the Amu Darya and the Syr Darya. The history of Uzbekistan is that of individuals and great nations, of bloody conquests and great rebellions. When it comes to culture, Uzbekistan has one of the most brilliant and original cultures in the world. East. Regarding the position of our great nation regarding religion and freedom of conscience, the Republic of Uzbekistan is a member of the international community and bears full responsibility for supporting different faiths.
