    Pursuing a business degree has been a lifelong dream. Understanding the concepts, formulas and processes needed to be efficient and accurate, whether it's a personal business or a job offering company is a goal that's on the "to do" list for many years. When the opportunity to take this course presented itself, thinking twice was not an option. However, before taking this course, it was assumed that it would be just another math course that would be an obstacle on the way to the ultimate goal: achieving the MBA. Six weeks later, the original hypothesis has been proven time and time again to be completely wrong. Over the past year, while pursuing my MBA, I have also been looking for an interesting job. Several potential options were proposed, but none that could be considered significant were retained. When we least expected it, a great opportunity presented itself about two months ago. The position offered was that of a consultant in a Fortune Five Hundred company. Without a complete understanding of the duties and responsibilities of the position, I immediately began researching what to expect. As the research revealed, part of the duties and responsibilities was to benchmark and develop individual businesses by comparing productivity from previous years and advising owners and operators on how to improve and become more profitable. The amazing part of the whole process was when the interview for the position finally took place. It was after the third week of classes. About half of the questions asked by the interviewer were about topics covered in class during the first three weeks...... middle of article ......describe and convey the desired information to their readers. Few Some time after taking this course, it became clear that this course offered more than what was initially expected. Learning the formulas, concepts, and processes needed to solve equations has become more valuable than one could imagine. The consulting position we applied for was offered and accepted because of the information taught and understanding gained in class. This course has been and will continue to be instrumental in providing the much needed information to accomplish the task that is a requirement of this position and I will be eternally grateful to Professor Raymond for the patience and style displayed in his teaching of this course. , SM (1989).
