    When I moved from New York to Texas, I left behind the most important thing: love. I had been dating Franky for a year when I moved down south. It was a really sad breakup for both of us, but we decided to continue our long-distance relationship to see how it would go. However, I knew deep down that it wouldn't last very long. Long distance relationships are difficult and the chances of them failing are high. Needless to say, the odds were not in our favor and our relationship ended four months later. The causes that led to the failure of our long-distance relationship between Franky and I were numerous. One of the reasons our relationship failed is the most common: lack of communication. For the first few months, we talked every night before bed, either on the phone or chatting face-to-face on Skype. It was rather romantic. We would set dates where we would watch the same movie together, or take long walks while talking on the phone, or even cook dinner, get dressed, and eat together while chatting on Skype. Later life started to get in the way...
