Albert Einstein's famous quote, “Once you stop learning, you start dying,” has such a deep meaning. People who want to excel in life have a thirst for knowledge and seek to learn more. I have found that the Organizational Behavior course has provided me with an unlimited amount of information, knowledge, and ideas that I believe will help me succeed in the business world. So, what exactly are the overarching lessons I will walk away with? First and most importantly, I learned the importance of field team members and the important role each person plays in the changes an organization must make to continue to be profitable and have a successful business . Second, I learned about the distinct differences between leaders and managers, and how important it is to understand this difference to improve an organization. Finally, I learned that you must learn to live before you die. Since I spent this week out of town watching my son wrestle in a state championship, I've had to examine the dynamics of the sport. I realized how sport parallels the business world. High school wrestling, in particular, is a great analogy to the business world, and I also think the sport offers great lessons to our younger generations, who may one day become leaders themselves. Wrestling is both an individual sport and a team sport, just like the business world. Organizations are made up of many people who work individually and yet play a very important role within a team and their organization, even for junior academics and rank-and-file employees. I say this because these are the teammates who, at some point, will lead the sports team or manage a group of subordinates. Struggle requires hard work, ...... middle of paper ...... I have no regrets. Continue to learn and excel in everything you do. Always give everything you do, everything you have. Stay dedicated and true to yourself, your happiness and your needs. If a person can come away with the knowledge of everything listed above and be able to implement half of them into their daily life, I am certain their quality of life will be improved. double for any person or business attempting to implement these strategies.
