I was amazed at how they drilled for oil hundreds of meters below the surface, guided by limited data. I was even more fascinated when I learned about offshore platforms where oil and gas were drilled, produced and transported long distances by pipelines to refineries or transported by floating production units, from storage and offloading (FPSO). That day, a new desire and interest was born in me to join the world of engineering to research and propose better methods of exploration and exploitation. I realized this dream by studying geology with an ExxonMobil scholarship, then oil and gas engineering while specializing in drilling with an Elfe scholarship.
