This next Wednesday I have a meeting after school, I have to cover for the other secretary at work, I have to teach a Bible lesson for my children's ministry church, I have to study for a psychology test and set the agenda for the next day's NHS meeting. This was a negative learning experience for me, as I took way too much on my plate for this particular day. I could have handled the situation differently by canceling my after-school meeting and refusing my colleague's request for a replacement. I learned that it's okay not to say yes to everyone when they ask me for help if it's too much for me.
