Then unfortunately falls ill right after, his financial situation is in line with his health and declines with it. Fortunately, he has times of illness and so he still has time to write his praised poems. Doctors finally discover that he has tuberculosis and that he contracted it while caring for his mother. He reaches a point where he can no longer work on his writing. But just before that, he wrote the author of Endymion, which is "among the most important works" (13) according to Everest. Poems like these, in the final chapter of his life, were remarkable because he could still produce amazing works in such misery. Keats goes to Rome for one last adventure. The journey lasts 3 months, and he lives for 3 more before finally leaving his home.
