There is a floating object twice the size of Texas and floating somewhere between San Francisco and Hawaii. It is made of 80% plastic and weighs around 3.5 million tonnes. Through wastewater treatment, it purges the water to remove all the contaminants and plastic that people don't recycle before they enter our landfills. Plumbing and technology have improved and combined to protect the health of people and the environment. They have created many ways to use Earth's natural resources to help the world. For example, they created geothermal heating that uses the Earth's heat and transfers it from the earth into people's homes to heat their homes. Plumbing plays an important role in making people's lives easier. All plumbing fixtures are designed and installed to prevent people from getting sick or dying.
