  • Essay / Escape Game Case Study - 1934

These are: 1) research questions; 2) propositions or purpose of the study; 3) unit analysis; 4) logic that connects data to propositions; and 5) criteria for interpreting the results. The first two elements have already been mentioned. The units of analysis, or cases, that correspond to the research questions are the experience of both age groups in escape rooms and the escape game design elements that affect intergenerational interaction and collaboration. Regarding the connection of data to the proposition, it should be noted that this case study has not clearly stated any propositions, but rather links will be made between the data collected by various methods, as well as with the research questions, and the patterns emerged from the study. The themes will converge to answer the research questions. Finally, the criteria for interpreting the results will be based on the data coding and careful interpretations of the researcher which will eventually lead to conclusions and recommendations for future studies.
