National Solar MissionIntroduction: The National Solar Mission is an effort of the Government of India and State Governments to provide an alternative renewable source of energy which is very vital for the sustainable growth and development of the country. This will also be very useful in the fight against the global greenhouse effect. The National Solar Mission is the national action plan inaugurated by the Prime Minister in 2008. The national action plan advocates the use of solar energy as an alternative renewable energy source, as it is readily and abundantly available in all of India due to its status as a tropical country. The National Solar Mission has also been seen as a measure to ensure a secure energy future. The program also aims to suggest and provide integrated institutional planning for solar power generation in rural areas and the adoption of creative approaches to solar lighting distribution through local and type institutions. panchayat. Importance and Relevance of Solar Energy in India: India is fortunate to have a large amount of solar energy available. which in turn can produce 5,000 trillion KWS of energy by having on average 300 days of sunshine per year and solar insolation of 4 to 7 kWh per m². m per day. Thus, efficient capture of solar energy could provide an alternative to energy production dependent on fossil fuels. With the increasing demand for electricity, the private sector has also started investing in solar energy due to better technological maturity and cost competitiveness. Technology to transform solar radiation energy into heat and electricity can efficiently harness solar energy and has enormous potential to increase electricity generation. As there is a positive correlation between energy needs and the country's GDP, solar energy can fill the energy demand gap through both off-grid power supply...... middle of paper ... ... deployment in the country. Compatible development can only be achieved by seeking a compromise between these triple strategies, which balances all aspects of the strategy, i.e. solar roof is used for off-grid solar power generation where land availability is a problem. Solar energy has just started its journey to provide greener energy. Thus, climate compatible development through solar energy is still a long way to go for India. Reference1.
