I want to be a food critic, this job would be interesting to do because you can travel to many places, eat food and get paid to do both of those things. I would love to get paid by traveling and eating. To be able to be a food critic, you would first have to become a chef. The career of food critics dates back to the mid-1950s. The first food critic was Alexandre Balthaser Laurent Grimod de la Reynieve. It started in New York. Another early food critic was Craig Claiborne. Craig was a good critic from 1957 to 1972. They wrote editorials for different restaurants in New York. They were first known as “restaurant critics.” There are a large number of food critics in the United States. There are currently more and more people employed in the career of food critic. The trends in this career are growing. Jobs related to this career are primarily found in New York or on the West Coast. Indeed, these cities are large and most of the restaurants there are known to everyone. The general duties of a food critic are to be fair, honest, understanding, and to capture the entire restaurant, not just one meal. The specific duties of a food critic, they have to judge a restaurant, write a report on the restaurant, they can make or break a restaurant. Working hours are from nine in the morning to eight in the evening, not including the time needed to write reviews. The working hours are long, but that's the only thing unusual about the hours in this career. In this career, there is no specific gender you have to be. You don't have to be a certain age either, but most food critics are around 35 years old. You need to be healthy and in pretty good physical shape... middle of paper ...... like writing , after college I never want to write another essay, another article or do research on anything! In this career, I would be forced to write essays and articles all the time, so this is definitely not the career I would want to choose. The one thing I absolutely love about this career is the traveling and the restaurant part. And some of the things you would have to eat in this career don't look appetizing at all and I wouldn't want to eat them. Some of the things you should eat include fish (I hate fish so much), octopus, and many other disgusting things that no one should ever want to eat. After all my research, I don't want to do this job at all. If it didn't require writing and eating certain foods, I wouldn't really mind, but it does, so I don't like this career...
