Hello or “hola” in the Dominican Republic, this is a very good place to start. The culture is very interesting in the Dominican Republic; The indigenous tribes make jewelry from bone, amber, coconut shell and horn which are very beautiful. Other artists in the Dominican Republic use clay, porcelain, hemp and guano to make decorative and religious figures. Bright and colorful works of art are produced in this country. Besides art, they offer delicious food. The most common ingredients are rice, beans, meat and seafood. Traditional ingredients are yucca, plantains and potatoes; African recipes use similar ingredients. The most common dish is La Bandera or “The Flag”, made with meat, rice and red beans. Sometimes it is served with plantains called “tostones”. Another food is boiled green plantains known as “Mangu”. There are also wrapped turnovers cooked in banana leaves or in hojas: various stews, stews and meat dishes such as braised goat, pork or chicken rinds. Yum, I never knew Dominican culture could be so delicious. Dominica's source of national pride and identity is baseball. Did you know that famous players like Alex Rodríguez, Pedro Martinez, Albert Pujols and Sammy Sosa all come from the countryside? People in the Dominican Republic are generally mixed (73% of the time), white (16%) and black. (11%). Finally it's over, let's go back to some... middle of paper ...... elements like increasing the number of jobs or preventing deforestation, soil erosion or shortages of 'water. I think the Dominican Republic is the coolest and most interesting country in Latin America. One day I would like to visit there and see all the historical and other monuments. I would really like to know if Christopher Columbus was actually buried under the oldest church in the world. I think most of my classmates would probably agree with me. They have good natural resources that boost their economy. I would love to live here, because the food is so delicious. As a country, they should increase their GDP per capita and GDP, perhaps by creating more available jobs. I am very happy to have brought this country to do research; it was very interesting and very fun. I wish I could be the leader of the Dominican Republic to solve all the problems and improve the government..
