    Friends with benefits relationships, also known as FWBR, involve two individuals who are “friends” having sexual relations (Bisson and Levine, 2007). According to Melissa A. Bisson and Timothy R. Levine, this relationship usually takes place in college towns which is recognized as neither a passionate relationship nor an ordinary friendship since it is closely related to both (2007). “FWB combines the psychological intimacy of a friendship with the sexual intimacy of a romantic relationship while avoiding the “romantic label” (Mongeau, 2003). This article will define the concept of “true friend” from the types of friends with beneficial relationships proposed by Bisson and Levine (2007). This concept will be defined based on reliable research and will be applied to a real-life example of two friends.
