The Fuqua School of Business offers a unique curriculum and set of learning experiences. that aligns with my career goals and supports my academic growth. I am currently in my first year at the Nicholas School of the Environment, specializing in Energy and Environment. This first step, in tandem with an MBA at Fuqua, will prepare me to become a positive and influential leader in the energy sector. Fuqua's new focus on energy finance and emphasis on teamwork and leadership align with my short- and long-term ambitions. In particular, I am drawn to Fuqua because of the rigor and usefulness of courses such as Decision Models and Corporate Finance. Finally, I was fortunate to have already had the opportunity to spend a semester at the Nicholas School and take advantage of the many experiences that Fuqua offers to students in graduate programs. Among various energy seminars and professional development events, I attended two energy industry conferences. These experiences have increased my desire to fully explore all of the opportunities that a Fuqua education in energy finance will provide. My interactions with Fuqua professors, such as finance professor John Buley, also confirmed my ambitions to pursue a Fuqua MBA now to advance my career goals.
