  • Essay / In-N-Out Burger vs. Jack in the Box - 680

There are many fast food places to choose from in the southwest region of the country. Two of the most common fast food restaurants are In-N-Out Burger and Jack in the Box. I have personally worked in these two establishments. The difference between the two lies in quality, price and working environment. One of the major differences between the two restaurants is their food quality and services better provided to the customer. In-N-Out Burger is made entirely from fresh produce. The meat is never frozen, the lettuce is hand picked daily and the potatoes are peeled and diced daily. The meat received by In-N-Out is fresh and must be prepared for the restaurant to serve. The morning shift arrives at 6 a.m. to do a lot of things and one of those tasks is to prepare the meat for the day. They have to shape and season the meat before they can press and cook it. The truck arrives every day with the calculated sales amount. However, Jack in the Box receives frozen food. Sales are calculated weekly and trucks only arrive two days a week. Lettuce arrives at the store pre-cut and ready to use in the restaurant. Everything that comes out of the truck simply needs to be reheated to be served. Another difference is the quality of store employees. In-N-Out Burger employees always have a positive attitude. They will always do everything possible to ensure that all customers are 100% satisfied. The employees ensure that every visit is unforgettable and that the customer always comes back for this incredible customer service. Conversely, the employees at Jack in the Box are entirely different. Their employees are careless and have negative attitudes. They don't care if customers aren't satisfied. Their service...... middle of paper...... forms and the company is forced to trust them to wash their work clothes before their next shift. During my time there, I observed that most employees do not show up in clean uniforms. Employees can get away with many hygiene issues. Jack in the Box only has one manager and then an assistant manager. The store is still understaffed for daily shifts, making those work days more difficult. Experiences show that at In-N-Out Burger and Jack in the Box, the way they do business is second to none. Quality, price and working environment play an important role in the catering industry. In-N-Out far surpasses Jack in the Box. I encourage everyone to take their business to In-N-Out Burger over any other fast food restaurant. In-N-Out is clearly the better choice. Every customer will enjoy the excellent customer service and delicious food.
