  • Essay / Descriptive Essay on My Family - 1196

She is the funniest person in our family and the funniest person I know. She always appreciated anyone with a sharp tongue or a good joke, regardless of age. There is no generational hierarchy in our family, the only rankings are based on your ability to follow the conversation. My mother is particularly good at discerning who in our family will be the best to sit with at dinner. She is proud to be raising three children who all know their way around humor and conversation. I think it would be the bane of my mother's existence if one of her children couldn't keep up with the discussion. Being able to succeed is something she continually imposed on us and expected of us, even in the beginning. This expectation placed on you at such a young age ultimately made us the people we are today. I know for a fact that without the atmosphere of our home and the continued emphasis on conversational skills, I would not be doing comedy, nor would I be where I am.
