INTRODUCTIONIt was in the mid-1700s that the first veterinary school was founded by Claude Bourgelate in Lyon, France. Like many other farmers, he took the time to research remedies to help his herd fight rinderpest. Before long, Bourgelate felt the need to educate young farmers about his knowledge of diseases and eventually started the veterinary sciences and arts program at the college. He then became a veterinarian, helping livestock all over the world, achieving his life goal. Many people don't realize that veterinarians will always have an impact on everyone's life. Without animal care, many people would not be able to survive. We rely on veterinarians to care for our animals, because without them, we would no longer have the comfort of our pet or the majority of the food on our table. The report will analyze the veterinary science career and determine whether the career path is the right choice. The scope of this research covers the entire United States and even extends to other countries, including England. Much of the information in this report comes from the eastern and central United States. In the world of veterinary science, researchers must connect to other places to better understand their work. Veterinarians are constantly taking what they have learned and using this information to improve the lives of animals. The types of sources used to support the report data include scientific journals, books, official websites, and professional interview. Veterinary science has come a long way since its inception. Anyone who has a doctorate in veterinary science and has a passion for working with animals with...... middle of paper ...... compared to a veterinarian who works in an area or city well populated. More populated areas have more animals to care for. This shows that even the lowest paid veterinarian will make a comfortable living. BENEFITS There are many benefits to having a career as a veterinarian. Not only do veterinarians enjoy obvious benefits such as health care and job security, but they are also able to make an impact on an animal's life. Megan also said that there is no better feeling than the excitement she gets when she sees how happy a pet and their owners are after a long recovery. This feeling can turn any bad day into the best, because she knows she has done her job (see Appendix A). Veterinarians will always be needed as long as this world continues to depend on animals.
